Catbite are ska champions. Combining the jumping energy of UK two-tone with the high-power attack of third wave ska, the Philly band has been rapidly expanding their fan base and serving as standard bearers for the 2020’s ska revival. Their most recent album, Nice One (released by neo-ska icons BadTime Records) was massively well received, having gained praise from Rolling Stone, Brooklyn Vegan, Punknews… and even M&Ms! On the record, the band injected a bright pop punch to the traditional bounciness of ska and cut an LP that while VERY danceable, addressed some heavy topics like how social media can distort one’s perception of reality, depression, suicide, and breaking free of toxic relationships… but they also have a song about being horny. They also have a cover of Selena’s “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.” It’s frikkin’ rad. Catbite just released a collab-single with Brian Fallon of Gaslight Anthem and are working on their anticipated third album. Catbite has headlined their own tours at home and abroad, and have also opened for Gaslight Anthem, Jeff Rosenstock, Bouncing Souls, Nofx, Circle Jerks, and more. They are always on tour.
